As an expecting parent, it wouldn’t hurt to receive some pointers from fellow parents who are seasoned veterans. Take some of these tips from one parent to another to help make your parenting experience as blissful as possible.

Calming Sounds
If your little one is restless, try running to the bathroom and running the fan and sink on low. It’ll bring them down a couple pegs, considering the low drone reminds them of their mother’s heartbeat in utero.

Swaddling Works Wonders
When babies are acting out, often times they need to block out all outside stimulation to calm down. Rather than picking up your child, try wrapping them in a blanket, or creating a closed space for them to take a breather in.

Stuck in the Car
If you’re stuck in traffic and your baby isn’t having it, there’s a couple of things you can do. Try turning on some relaxing music - perhaps a song that repeats the baby’s name in some of the verses. If you have a cell phone with you, try playing some low-tone ringtones. Lastly, babies love magnets. If you find larger magnetic pictures or letters to play with, your child will be mesmerized by the constant mystery of magnetism.

Larger Diapers
Try buying your baby’s nighttime diapers one size up from the one they usually wear. This diaper will soak up all their accidents and reduce the mess in the morning to a minimum.

Teething Trick
Frozen washcloths are a staple of baby teething aid. However, if you want them to teeth on it for as long as possible, consider adding some flavor to it. Sour pickles, cucumbers, and sweet carrots work wonders in their mind.

Try some of these tips and tricks and see how your baby reacts to them. They just might serve as a blessing, and you’ll continually wonder how you survived without them.
